Another Lyric Translation!  Maria Takeuchi's "Plastic Love"

Good Morning Fellow Music Lovers!

Every once in a while, I try to listen to expand the genres of music that I listen to. This helps me as a musician to think about music, composition, and production from a new perspective.

Such adventures in music exploration lead me to listen to a lot of 80's synthpop and rock from Japan. Initially, I felt some hesitation about this genre. However, now I find it oddly catchy and nostalgic, even though it falls into a couple of generations before mine.

This inspired me to want to do a translation of the lyrics for this video.

This video was on my list of recommendations on youtube, and I just fell in love with it! Someone posted a translation of the lyrics in the comments section of the youtube video which I felt were at times too literal and at other times too vague. Hence I want to offer my take on the lyrics for Maria Takeuchi's song, "Plastic Love".
